The Hindu Business Line : Energy saving LED lights for homes from Philips: "Philips Electronics India Ltd. on Tuesday announced the launch of an array of LED (Light Emitting Diodes) lighting range products for the home segment. Philips has currently introduced five models of lights based on the LED technology, which are essentially small, solid light bulbs that are extremely energy-efficient, and are widely seen as the future of lighting technology. The LED models, priced in the range of Rs 270 to Rs 750, cost more than the CFL (compact fluorescent lamps) that are available in the market, buare much more energy-efficient and do not have the mercury contamination problem associated with the CFLs."
