Energy Efficient Bulbs - Why do LED Lights flash when on a timer that is currently turned off? - Quality LED, Energy Saving Bulbs for your home or office...: "I replaced the standard 15 or 20 watt incandescent carriage type light bulbs with .9 watt LED equivalent bulbs in my two carriage lights in front of my house to lower the cost of the lights being on all night. These lights are connected to an automatic astronomical timer where a light switch would normally be. The timer has been there for several years working flawlessly turning the lights on at dusk and off at dawn. There is also a CFL bulb in a can light above the front door which behaves normally. The new bulbs turn on just fine when the timer turns them on, but when the timer turns them off they all flash very rapidly. This is super strange. Is it possible that the timer is not actually turning off completely or could there be residual power in the circuit? Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions?"
